Today we were giving out some stuff to people who are in real need. Usually hunger and suffering aren’t really on my radar, but today it came close. Maybe you’ve seen it on tv: the story of the illegal refugees camping in Amsterdam (just next to the home where I grew up!). They got kicked out of their campsite by the police. So they searched for a place to sleep and -hurray- they found something. Some friends of ours have taken it on them to help these people.
So tonight one of them called up my husband and asked him if he could come over and help out. So we packed some stuff (blankets, food, candles) and called a bunch of other people if they could join us or if they had some stuff to give out too. I love how everyone went searching and donated something. Wow. It gave me a serious case of the goosebumps. We have so much and giving is such a great and powerful thing. If you want to help too (which would be greatly appreciated), please feel free to contact me or check these resources:
