I’ve told you about my love for giving (and getting) presents. In Holland we have this bank holiday on the 5th of December, with an old man who looks like Santa Claus. We eat a lot of candy and give each other gifts. I really like celebrating this. But with our lives getting busier each year it’s hard to find time to get together and celebrate. At first I got a bit upset because it didn’t work out with some of my friends, but then I got this idea. It’s inspired by ‘twitsint’ and The Olive Box.
This is the plan: (It’s a bit different than ‘twitsint’)
Since it’s hard to find time to actually come together, we make a present for each other and send it by regular mail. The present doesn’t have to be expensive;, you can make something yourself, pick something that you already have and haven’t been using anymore or, oh well, you can buy something too. It’s more about the love and attention the gift represents than the present itself. Get the idea? So pay some extra attention on the wrapping and the I would love you to join us.
If you want to join (which is great) please do the following:
– Send an email to sint@lovejohnny.nl before Sunday morning November 4.
– I need your name and address
– please submit your twitter/pinterest/website
– tell a little something about yourself, this only need to be a few words but since a lot of us don’t know each other this will help make something that really fits for you
You will receive the information about the person you’ve picked by snail mail during the next week, you will have it before November 10.
