I really loved this years Easter holidays. I loved having my husband being off work for four whole days! Our little boy, Mees, was having a total blast with his dad.
On Sunday, we had Easter breakfast with just our family, the three of us. We attended church and went to the beach afterwards. My parents and my little sister came along. I just love the ocean side!
On Monday we had some friends coming over for an amazing big lunch with lots of good food, conversations and heaps of fun. They have a little girl who’s only a tiny bit younger then our son and they played together and a blast!
One thing I really enjoyed was decorating the lunch table. I’d bought this awesome ‘colour-it-yourself’ table cloth from the supermarket and I’d mixed styles by putting our original vintage china on the table. I even used the cristal glasses that once belonged to my great-great-grandmother!
However, way more important than food are my friends and family, to celebrate life with (and eat the food, obviously). Plus, it’s a bonus every time to see my child having so much fun!
Sadly, this beautiful day ended with a little drama. Mees fell, which put his tooth through his lip, (which caused heaps of blood, poor little one). But to close it of with another celebration, we ended the day with Ice Cream!
